Another skiing way

The Media said that Eric Lon is skiing where it is not possible to ski. Eric has demonstrated with children and elders that it is possible to ski even in the Sahara.

Do you want to discover different feelings by skiing in another environment than snow?

This is possible for anybody on the small dunes of Rajasthan, in February and November with Eric. Tibet provides higher dunes, Sahara and Namibia have giant dunes. Skiing requires a fine fitness.

Bring your own equipment and you will be the pioneers of a new sport in the desert. Before your departure you may exchange your cross country skis for local handicraft.

Rock skiing in the Himalayas, over 5000 meters, must be reserved for experienced skiers and mountaineers. Eric had skied on the huge rocky slopes of the Annapurnas, but he stopped promoting this activity in Nepal because of the civil war. He will be skiing there again in spring.

Today Eric is skiing on the rocks of Spiti, around 6000 meters. Skiing at this altitude requires a good circulation of blood and of energy. Eric practices Tibetan yoga and massage daily. He will share these techniques with you.

His new book “ Des Ecrins à l’Himalaya ” published by the Editions du Fournel talks about skiing in the Himalayas and in Sahara.

The next book " Ecrins - Sahara - Namibia "
will tell more stories about skiing.
